2012 will see the staging of the second edition of the Windhoek
Lager Namib Quest Mountain Bike Challenge. After a highly challenging,
but successful 2011 event, AEP and its event partners will ONCE
AGAIN strive to provide an even better event in 2012. Over a
period of six days, participants will traverse the mighty Khomas
Hochland escarpment; pass through the majestic Namib Desert
and finish in Swakopmund on the cool Atlantic coast. The route
will encompass unspoilt wilderness areas, breathtaking scenery
and include rustic race villages
Format:
? Six stages (5 nights)
? Distance approx 370km (distance may vary according to physical
/ climatic conditions)
? Entries limited to 100 “two person” teams. No
single entries
Costs & what this includes:
? N$ 17 000.00 per team (Limited no of packages available for

INGELI ADVENTURES
Ingeli is a majestic place, where it seems as though you were
in a
totally different world to the hustle and bustle of today’s
21st
century lives, it’s an escape where you can just let go
and be free of
all your troubles and stressors. And the best way of doing that
is on
your mountain bike!
We offer day rides, which include lunch and a guide to show
you the way.
We offer weekend warrior rides where the following takes place
(Guide included).
The weekend will consist of a Friday afternoon 15-20km night
ride at
five o’clock, sun-downers on the top of the mountain with
stunning
views as far as the eye can see, followed by an epic decent
on single
track through the Indigenous forest back to the lodge where
there will
be a cold beer available, you will head off for a shower while
your
bike will be cleaned and chain will be lube, after that supper
will be
ready and time for you to just relax.
Saturday, you will awake to breakfast at 7h00, after that we
will ride
a 50-70km which would take us through amazing indigenous single
track,
then followed by, a bit of contour line single track with breath
taking views, through the forests of the Ingeli until we reach
our
destination,-Forest Side lodge, our mountain top accommodation
30km
from the main lodge, where we will have lunch and the option
of
bum-sliding, fishing or just enjoying each other’s company.
We will
spend the night at Forest Side and a Braai for supper will be
included.
Sunday, we will have breakfast and get ready for the morning
ahead.
Sunday will include a ride over the top of a water fall and
down the
valley on cattle paths with yet again epic single track and
majestic
views. We will work our way back to the Ingeli forest lodge
through
farm roads and single track.
Come and ride some of the most unique single track in South
Africa,
and become a WEEKEND WARRIOR. (The least number of riders is
four
people).
